But it seems right to take such questions into consideration when there exist facilities on one side which cannot be expected to last many years longer'. There is a 'general feeling among us of the Himalaya Expedition', [GA's party which observed the recent total eclipse, see GA to WW, 28 Aug. 1860] that they should collect their accounts and publish them in the Astronomical Society's Memoirs.
