Another candidate has got the Geneva post, and he is leaving the Institute [International Institute of Intellectual Co-operation] tomorrow as he cannot stay on indefinitely 'on starvation wages without any prospects'. Will try to do some literary work, and is pleased at the idea of not 'serving anyone'. Looking forward to seeing Trevelyan and Julian; hopes they have good news of Mrs Trevelyan.
