17 Throgmorton St, London. - Offley Shore expects to see John Milnes at Liverpool next week; forwards letter from Captain Laws in case Monckton Milnes is not acquainted with events. Enclosures: letter, 9 Nov. 1845, from John Milligan Laws to [James Rundall] - encloses John Milnes' account of the incident; cannot appoint him at the moment but hopes it might be possible later; letter [25 Oct. 1845] from John Milnes to John Milligan Laws, Moseley Arms Hotel. - went out at two this morning in delirious belief that he must meet Captain Laws; Dr Plant will describe his condition, which was worsened by the long walk in the rain; hopes Mrs Laws will forgive the alarm he caused and that his prospects will not be affected; postscript - was attacked by the dogs but one followed him here.
