Bessie must be tired out; good that she had the Hubrechts [Jan Bastiaan and his wife Leonore?] with her, and 'dear little Mama', who is 'a brick always to turn up when we want her'. Wishes Bessie would come and visit them in town; does not know how much longer Bob will be away, but it is 'much too long' since they saw each other.
