Scope and content
Herstmonceux - JCH looks forward to WW's visit but it will have to fit in with his commitment to attend three of his Rural Chapters. JCH commiserates with WW over the death of his father-in-law. JCH's brother, Marcus Hare, has also died. He would be very glad to see WW's University treatise [Of a Liberal Education in General, and with Particular Reference to the Leading Studies of the University of Cambridge, 1845]: 'That there is much to change them for the better, you know, I have always thought'.
