Herstmonceux - JCH sends WW the translations he wanted. 'The suggestion that the Etymological Society shd undertake an English Dialectic Dictionary seems to me good. It was a pity that that which was begun years ago by Bourcher (?) was so soon stopt. Enquiries should be made after his papers, and whether he would give them to the Society'.
