Herstmonceux - Thanks WW for his letter and looks forward to seeing him on Wednesday or Thursday. JCH's nephew is going to Downing College rather than Trinity, since he does not wish to attain great academic attainment, and simply wishes to stay at College until he can get a commission - 'he has little strength of character & wd rather play than work'. Unfortunately JCH cannot stay long and will have to return Friday.
