This is an artificial collection created for the purpose of incorporating into the Catalogue of Modern Manuscripts descriptions of some of the manuscripts and other papers inserted in printed books in the Library. Only those items have been included which seem worth describing separately; notes on, or additions to, the texts of the printed works by their former owners have generally been excluded.
