Pièce 701 - Measured survey of Trinity College Library, Cambridge

Folio volume of 42 leaves gathered via three metal rings. Introductory matter includes the pamphlet for visitors, Trinity College, A History and Guide by G. M. Trevelyan, a short typescript history of the building of the Wren Library, and 46 photographs of the outside of the Wren Library, with details of decorative elements, a view of the cloisters in the form of a photographic postcard by Frith's, and candid photographs showing men on ladders during the survey. Followed by 32 pages of detailed drawings of the outside of the building and its decorative elements with measurements, as well as details of mouldings and carvings of the interior bookcases.
