Married John Leathes, at Bury St Edmunds, on 30 Apr 1782 (Bury St Edmunds, St James Parish Registers (Suffolk Green Books, No. XVII), p. 208).
Leathes died on 6 Jan. 1787, aged 49 (Suckling, History and Antiquities of the County of Suffolk, ii. 23). On his death his wife became Lord of the Manor of Herringfleet late Priory (St Olave's Priory and Bridge, Herringfleet, Suffolk, by W. Arnold Smith Wynne (1914), p. 8).
Married Anthony Merry, diplomat, by special licence, on 21 Jan. 1803.
Elizabeth Merry died on 4 March 1824, at the age of 68, her residence at her death being given as Herringfleet Hall. There is a memorial to her in St Margaret's church, Herringfleet.
