      Augusta Barbara Charlotte Byron, the aunt of Byron the poet and the recipient of the first letter he wrote, was (parish register, via ancestry.co.uk), the daughter of the Hon. John Byron, who became a Vice-Admiral, and his wife Sophia. She was baptised at St Andrew's, Plymouth, on 28 November 1762, and married Christopher Parker, who, like her father, became a Vice-Admiral. She died in 1824 and was buried at St Margaret's, Westminster.
