A mix of personal photographs and portraits and photographs taken while travelling in the Soviet Union in the mid-20th century. Includes two early photograph albums for Maurice Dobb which includes photographs from his time at Charterhouse, and for Barbara Nixon (later Dobb) and her time at Bedales. The snapshots taken while travelling in the Soviet Union are of views of Moscow, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, and Rostov Veliky. The photographs are accompanied by postcards of views and artwork in the Soviet Union.
