      Catherine (Katie) Eliza Somerville was born in South Australia. She married Langloh Parker in 1875 and wrote several books on Australian folk tales, and an anthropological work The Euahlayi Tribe. After Langloh's death in 1903, she married Percival Randolph Stow.
