Correspondence, drafts, other writings and research notes, printed material, and photographs and artwork relating to 'The Royal Hunt of the Sun'. The play premiered on 7 July 1964, produced by the National Theatre at the Chichester Festival. Drafts include playscripts for the original production and restaging at the National Theatre in 2006. Printed material includes a programme for the English National Opera's production in 1977, with copies of two reviews. There are 30 photographs of the National Theatre production, another 31 photographs of productions in Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Japan, and an Al Hirschfeld caricature of a scene in the play.
