1 volume (42 x 27 cm), containing 298 leaves. Folios 9-34, 36-41, 43-71, 74-109, 111-32, 134-5, 137-74, 176-85, 187-234, 236-9, and 241-83 are documents, pamphlets, prints, etc., bound into the book; ff. 1-8, 35, 42, 72-3, 110, 133, 136, 175, 186, 235, and 240 are leaves bearing titles, descriptions, and the table of contents. Bound in leather.

The title-page indicates that this collection was compiled in London in 1743, though it is not stated by whom. It was evidently intended for French readers. The arms of Sir William Stuart (1798-1874) are stamped on the front cover, and the armorial bookplate of Robert, Earl of Crewe, is pasted inside it.

On the spine is stamped ‘Pasguinades Anglaises de 1743 MSS.’ (The spelling ‘Pasguinades’ is probably due to a misreading of the title-page.) The writing on the interspersed leaves is all in the same hand.
