Historique
Daughter of Archibald Peel, and widow of Major Henry Graham. Married George Ranken Askwith (1861-1942), had one daughter, author Betty Askwith. Ellen wrote two novels, was appointed CBE in 1918 for her work during the war, as president of the YMCA, running canteens for dockworkers, and starting national kitchens.
