        The Association of Moral and Social Hygiene was formed in 1915 as a result of the amalgamation of two earlier organisations, namely the Ladies’ National Association for the Abolition of the State Regulation of Vice and for the Promotion of Social Purity, and the British Branch of the British, Continental, and General Federation for the Abolition of Government Regulation of Prostitution.
