Scope and content

These folders document broadcasts or projects for B.B.C. radio for which no identifiable script survives. Many were for unscripted discussion programmes or interviews such as the 'Questions in the air' series to which Frisch frequently contributed. Others were for projects which may not always have been completed. In some cases only the contract, or receipt for payment, have survived.
D.39: 1947–56
D.40: 1957-62. Correspondence June 1959 includes invitation to participate in B.B.C. European Service 21st Anniversary series on 'The Scientist and Society'; Frisch's letter, declining, explains his interest in science as entirely for its own sake.
D.41: 1963-79. Correspondence August 1969 is re an interview on SWEEPNIK. Correspondence 1977 is re interview with Frisch for series 'One man's lifetime'. Correspondence 1979 is re Frisch's participation in 'Kaleidoscope' programme on Einstein.
D.42: 1948-66. Miscellaneous correspondence on B.B.C. programmes, various dates.
