Scope and content

Thanks Sidgwick for his letter. Observes that difficulties seem to be increasing upon them. Refers to the College meeting on the 14th. Regrets that he cannot alter the time of setting the English Composition [for Rugby]. States that he would rather have the examiners there, and says that he does not want them to sit with the [form] while the papers are being done. Sends Sidgwick a book containing all the papers set the previous Christmas [not included], and says that he can pick out the Composition and unseens from them.
