Christ's College Lodge - JK thanks WW for the copy of his 'Mineralogical Classification' [An Essay on Mineralogical Classification and Nomenclature, 1828]. He hopes again to receive the opinions of the Philosophical Society at Christ's Lodge.
RJ sends WW a copy of a letter - marked private - he has received from the Bishop of Lincoln: 'His proposed alteration [presumably to the Tithe Commission Report] might be good if we did not look forward to a preponderance of lay signatures but the laymen object to the slightest mixture of polemics and we should be challenged at once to fight on the ground he lays down and to produce and discuss authorities which would be all well for our blue coated friends'.
Requirements of candidates for deacon's and priests orders and the alterations made to these by Kaye, quality of candidates, wishes that all candidates could do the Oxford "systematic" course of Divinity
Informs him that the King will receive his homage
