Fox; 7 M. Beauchamp; Stroke S. P. Smith; Cox W. Wickham. An older man at back may be W. Adams, boatman. Men identified in a later (archivist's) hand. Photograph titled '1st Boat, May 1882.' At left is a narrative of the race and a mention that the same crew went to Henley with Hardman in the no. 4 seat, but did not win.

The minutes include lists of members and honorary members, descriptions of Trinity, university and national regattas, including the Philadelphia Centennial Regatta in 1876. Cuttings are pasted in throughout, and the printed 'Laws of the Trial Pairs (Presented by S. Fairbairn, Esq. and R. H. Foster, Esq.)' is laid in loose at the back.
