Scope and content

Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Thanks Elizabeth for her kind letter; would like to see her but not yet as she is very occupied with Sir George in his illness; she feels 'very anxious and unhappy'. Sir George was interested in Robert's book ["The New Parsifal"] and read the introduction himself; she has read some of the verse aloud to him. Annie [Philips] 'insists' on coming next week, and Charlie is coming on Saturday or Sunday. Robert is welcome to 'run down for a night' but she will not be able to spend time with him. Very pleased the nurse Elizabeth likes will come. Hopes Julian likes the bricks and enjoys his birthday.
