Lamb House, Rye, Sussex -- Has been very busy and unable to reply; Dadie [Rylands?] has written a delightful letter which has swept away all sense of vexation; is glad to hear Winstanley keeps up his strength; his cousin Cordelia has been visiting, and he reflects on his essential discomfort with women, who "expect such curious tributes, & are distressed by such wholly unaccountable things,"; Turner is visiting now.
