Scope and content
Flat [26 Brunswick Square, W.C.1]. - Sending much love; will get early news of Bessie [after an operation?]. Spent a good weekend with Rosamund Lehmann and Wogan Philipps, the hall of whose house was designed by John Banting. Elizabeth Bowen (whom he has not read, and often confuses with Marjorie Bowen) and Allen Cameron lunched with them on Sunday. On Thursday, he will be in town again to 'cope' with George Duhamel [sic]: an event he has to chair.
