Publication note
Lago (Forster, E., & Lago, M. (1985). Calendar of the letters of E.M. Forster / compiled by Mary Lago. London: Mansell) tentatively dates this letter to 1905, but Adrian and Virginia Stephen did not move to 29 Fitzroy Square until April 1907. In June 1907 Forster is still addressing Trevelyan by his surname; Trevy is used from December 1907, and Bob after March 1909.
