On headed notepaper, King's College, Cambridge. - Asking whether King's Chapel was 'ascending in the pioneering days, because two members of the Cambridge Mountaineering Club found a route up it on the night of Aug. 11'. Account of the climb, including the involvement of 'Miss Selby - who is up here researching on vitamines', who was part of group who ascended by the 'tourist route' to provide a distraction, and was inspired by the expedition to start climbing; 'Afterwards, we showed Miss Selby several climbs in the Downing Street district, & she accomplished them very neatly and safely'.
Praise of 'E. Wallis, the second man', whose 'confidence' proved the 'largest factor in the success of the party'.

Has been lucky to meet, 'Dr Forbes, (a friend of Adrian's), who has explored the Boston district', and will see 'something of American rocks' when he visits.

Note by Geoffrey Winthrop Young at the head of the letter: 'Adair's account of the First Ascent of King's Chapel. He was not then a Fellow'
