On headed notepaper, Philosophical Institution, 4 Queen Street, Edinburgh. - The Directors invite Milnes to deliver the Inaugural Address at the opening of the next session of the Philosophical Institution; they regret that he was not able to visit during the last session. The Bishop of St. David's [Connop Thirlwall] whom Bowie understands is Milnes' friend, delivered the Inaugural Address of last year's session.
