Normanhurst Hotel, Bexhill-on-Sea.—Thanks her for her seasonal wishes, a calen-dar, and [a copy of] Ronald’s lecture. She returned to her present quarters in October. She went about very little at Burton Court or she would have called at Ronald’s office to ask after them all. She thought of inviting her to Edith Doyle’s for a chat, but there was no time. Has heard that the boys [Colin and Malcolm] are studying at home. Her brother Elkanah was knocked down by a car and is now in a nursing-home, where he has made little progress yet.
