Scope and content

Mrs Wilson's, 42 Lothian St., Edinburgh. - Has been dismissed from post as a reader to a newspaper here, for which he is unfitted; is returning to Carlisle, but unwilling to trouble parents; will seek similar work in London if necessary but would like to publish 'a short Easter tale' to gain literary recognition. Requires funds; asks if Milnes will underwrite part of the venture; is confident of sales; nothing objectionable in the tale; other potential patrons have turned him down; would acknowledge great debt to Milnes if successful in future. Prepaid self-addressed envelope enclosed.
