[Marlborough, Wiltshire.]—Expects to go on leave on Tuesday. Discusses his transport arrangements. Hopes that he will continue to be excused duties till his sick leave begins. Expects to spend the ‘rest of the duration’ as a private, as the Pioneer Corps do not want any more officers and he has no chance of getting a commission elsewhere. The Major has not granted him an interview, and he will have to take other steps to get one.
