Âmbito e conteúdo
Crowdy’s Hill Camp, Cricklade Road, Swindon.—(22nd.) Has sent his watch. Has been given the day off, owing to a cold. They are presently working on the railway with the Royal Engineers. The two nicest officers have left the Company, and their mascot (a ram) has died. Recounts a trick played on the sergeant-major in connection with a pig supposed to have been offered as a mascot.—(23rd.) Is still on light duties. Refers to his possible transfer to the RASC or RAMC. ‘If or when I transfer I should have to be prepared for the fact that I might be put into the infantry or any other branch of the army.’
(With envelope.)
