On headed notepaper, Burlington Fine Arts Club. - Mr Fairweather of York will send 'a trustworthy man Clarke to pack & send by rail' the pieces which Houghton is 'willing to contribute to the remarkable & exhaustive exhibit[io]n of the artist [William Blake]'s works at this Club'. Asks Houghton to let Fairweather know which day would be most convenient for Clarke to come. [Signed, as Honourable Secretaries, on behalf of the committee.]
A letter by William Moore to Lord Houghton, 31 Jan. 1876, is written on the verso of f.2. 24 Burton Terrace, Clifton, York. - Clarke has packed Moore's pictures 'for the London and other Exhibitions for some years'; will 'greatly oblige his Master Mr Fairweather' if as well as the most convenient date for Clarke to come to Fryston, Houghton gives 'the outside measure of the largest picture'.
