Scope and content
Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Very much looking forward to seeing Robert, Elizabeth and Julian; will be very interested in Robert's Chinese acquisitions 'as the Russian general said when he laid hands on Mongolia'. Good article in the "Economist" on Chinese politics; praises the paper as being 'written with the most energy and genuine knowledge'. Glad to have Robert's good account of George at the Lake Hunt; very pleased he 'got his book into one volume'.
