They have always said they would go to Ireland but as they could not leave ‘GandP.’ till war was declared they would probably not be able to get there. ‘It has been unpleasant in London. Panic, Gas Masks, trenches, stretchers and food hoarding.’ Political affiliations seem more confused than ever and Ina [Una?] is ‘absolutely on the war path’.
