Scope and content

Paternoster Row. - Sends a copy of Jacob Cats and Robert Farley's [Moral] Emblems with 'the best wishes of the season'; is still staying at Farnborough or would have called, having heard Macaulay was unwell; hopes to see him soon and to find he has not been affected by 'this wet season'. Will enclose a list of corrections [no longer present, perhaps O.18.5/12?] sent by Henry Taylor; finds all have been corrected but the one Longman has marked 'XXX'; is not sure this is an error.
