Quotes letter from Rawdon Brown, correcting date of congratulatory letter to Charles IX on the St Bartholomew Massacre; his transcript sent to Milnes last year gave 6th Sept. instead of 12th Sept. 1572. Stirling hopes Leighton has given Milnes the three Venetian [----ditties?]; he can also supply transcript of his recent Stirling lecture, 'on blue paper, only 12 copies printed'.
