History
Malden was born 9 Apr. 1899 in London, the son of the Rev. Charles Herbert Malden. He attended St Edmund's School, Canterbury and was admitted to Trinity College 1 Oct. 1919 as a pensioner. He obtained his B.A. in 1921 and M.A. in 1925. He attended Ely Theological College in 1922, and was ordained priest in 1924. He emigrated to Queensland, Australia in 1925, and was curate at St Paul's Cathedral in Rockhampton, Queensland 1925-1926 and St Peter's Church in Barcaldine, Queensland 1926-1928. He became vicar of St James Whitehaven in 1931, and vicar of Corbridge with Halton in 1947. Between 1951 and 1960 he served as Rural Dean of Corbridge Deanery. In May 1970 he retired from Corbridge to live in Alnwick. He died 2 Jan. 1982.
