This document contains a schedule of the various enclosures in the lordship of Tuxford, with their areas, and the names of their proprietors and tenants. It was probably compiled in connection with the 1799 Tuxford Inclosure Act, which appointed commissioners to decide the boundaries of enclosures in the area. An enclosure award was made in 1804 by these commissioners, detailing the land to be allotted to various parties.
There are two columns of numbers assigned to the various closes, apparently referring to associated documents, the first headed 'No. in Plan referred to by Comm[issione]rs award', the second 'No. in Plan'.
After the main schedule showing all the property in the lordship, there are individual schedules showing the property belonging to the x principal landowners, namely Trinity College, Cambridge (Nicholthing Farm, Brookhouse Farm, and tithes); St John's College, Cambridge (Lord Vaux' Farm and Fretwell Farm); and William Pickin.
