A letter from W. W. Rouse Ball to the Master of Trinity [J. J. Thomson], dated Apr. 1921, found at the beginning of O.12.54a, originally accompanied 'Wordsworth's three red books which are kept in the Lodge'. The date of the transfer of these volumes to the Library is uncertain.
