In a handwritten list of Additional Manuscripts, these items are referred to as 'Papers of W. H. B. Bird, mostly relating to Michaelhouse anniversary'. It is unclear when they arrived in the archive. W. H. B. Bird catalogued Trinity College's muniments in the early nineteenth century, and it is possible these items were inserted into a book which he left behind or donated to the library, although no record of his having done so exists. If this were the case, the book in question may have been Michaelhouse by A. E. Stamp, which was published to coincide with the sexcentenary celebrations.

This file contains items evidently collected by W. H. B. Bird at the celebrations connected with the sexcentenary of Michaelhouse, and some rough historical notes by him on Michaelhouse and King's Hall.

The 600th anniversary of the foundation of Michaelhouse was celebrated at Trinity College in 1924. The events included a service of commemoration in honour of Hervey de Stanton and a dinner, both held on Michaelmas Day (29th September). Michaelhouse was one of the two colleges (the other being King's Hall) which were merged to form Trinity in 1546. Bird probably attended both events.

The material is arranged in two groups: items 1-4 relate to the sexcentenary of Michaelhouse; 5-7 are rough historical notes.
