        Leader of the St Christopher’s Boys Club (E. Pethick-Lawrence, My Part in a Changing World, p. 113, and Mary Neal’s pamphlet My Pretty Maid, probably issued about the beginning of 1900).

        He became a Theological Associate of King’s College, London, about 1900 and was ordained a deacon in the Church of England on 2 June 1901 (Crockford’s, 1932; The Times, 4 June 1901, p. 13).
