Scope and content

Postmarked Egham. - Has finished the prison scene in Act II [of "The Bride of Dionysus"], and has added a line which shows Ariadne's concern for and accurate assessment of the captives, and Theseus's 'head-boy spirit'. In the cave scene, Phaedra's patience now needs explanation; asks Trevelyan to alter her monologue to show that she takes the risk of letting Theseus and Ariadne draw close as the only means by which she can get close to him, 'trusting in her capacity to bewitch him back again'.
