Portée et contenu

Postmarked Cortona, Arezzo.- It is very kind and generous of Trevelyan to send twenty pounds at once [see 5/118, in which Morra outlines the case of an Italian suffering because of his political views, and 5/119]. He himself is not in direct correspondence with the person he recommended, so he must ask if the aid will be accepted. Looks forward to perhaps seeing Trevelyan and Julian when they come to Italy. There is no need to bother about Mirsky's book, as he has it from I Tatti; asks if there is anything recent and 'striking' in English [on Russian literature?]. May give Trevelyan a rather good book of short stories in Italian when he comes.
