Geschiedenis
In 1927 Rogers was probably trading at 46 Handyside's Arcade, Newcastle-on-Tyne, but by the following year he had moved to 18 Eldon Square, and between 1932 and 1936 his business address is recorded as 4 Queen's Square. In 1936 his home address was 21 Stoneyhurst Road, Gosforth.
He acted as a guide to J. B. Priestley when the writer visited Tyneside in 1934, and in the same year his car appears to have been involved in a collision with a van carrying gunpowder.
He was a keen bridge player.
He appears to have been still alive in 1961 when the Laing Art Gallery purchased a portrait of John Brand from a person of this name (https://artuk.org/discover/artworks/john-brand-36540).
