The sketch is entitled ‘Pleasures of Hall. No. I.’ and subscribed ‘This is a section of a table in Trinity. at Hall time to show an interesting and amusing game daily played by the waiters. the chief merit of wh consists in putting a basket for receiving scraps some distance under ye table and then dexterously shooting lumps of meat gravy &c into it. The excitement is much increased if ricochets or canones[?] are made off any obstacle near.’
