The sketch is captioned ‘Perplexed Tourist in the neighbourhood of Rydal thinks he has come to what His Map calls “The Pikes”’. The tops of two heads visible behind rocks in the background are marked ‘NB. Collections are being made here for the benefit of hungry stomachs.’
