      History

      Anna Fison was born at Barningham in Suffolk on 14 February 1839, the daughter of Thomas Fison. She married David Walter Thomas, a Welsh clergyman, at Cambridge in the second quarter of 1871, and died on 21 February 1920. Anna's brother Lorimer was a missionary, and her sister Jeannette was the second wife of the mathematician Robert Potts.
