Context area

Archival history

The envelope preserved with the printed sheets is labelled 'ASFG', and elsewhere 'A. F. Scholfield ac | Composition Papers given me by A. S. F. Gow'; this suggests that either these papers in their entirety were passed at some point from Scholfield to Hall, or that two groups of composition papers have been combined (which may be supported by the lesser quantity of spotting on the latter, undated, papers).

Previously numbered as being 'with' Add. MS a 292/1, but there appears to be no connection between them.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer

Received from John James Hall, Mar. 1984.
