View of the Queen Victoria accompanied by Prince Albert on a dais in Trinity's Hall with a throne and baldachin behind her, paintings of Francis Bacon and Isaac Barrow visible on the wall behind, with view from behind of a man [the Vice Chancellor William Hodgson?] reading an address with a crowd of men standing behind him. View is from across the Hall, the gallery were the ladies were accommodated on the day. Signed on the verso Elizabeth Smith, pinxt., possibly the Elizabeth Smith who was the daughter of former Trinity Fellow Richard Smith.
