Scope and content
Trinity College - WW's work on mineralogy has been printed ['An Essay on Mineralogical Classification and Nomenclature', 1828]: 'I do not see anything to discourage any one in his hopes of reasonable fame from any science and most especially yours. Take care to be first right in your principles, then bold and persevering in your assertion of them and you cannot fail'. WW is more interested to know what mineralogists will think of his introduction than the rest of the book.
